© RobokindThe Open AI Lab run by the nonprofit Robokind Foundation in Hanover offers a hands-on introduction to artificial intelligence and robotics every month. At these events, participants can experience AI (computer vision) and robot-assisted automation firsthand and try them out for themselves. The sessions feature short presentations, demonstrations, and discussions, with the goal of strengthening digital skills, overcoming reservations, and highlighting concrete application possibilities.

KIRIA – AI and Robotics
© RobokindKIRIA is a hands-on training and pilot project run by the nonprofit Robokind Foundation that supports small and medium-sized enterprises in Lower Saxony as they begin to adopt artificial intelligence and robotics. In a free, 20-hour training program, employees acquire application-oriented skills and, together with experts from the Robokind Foundation, develop concrete AI- and robotics-based automation solutions for their own businesses, e.g., in the areas of machine vision and quality assurance. The project includes workshops, online sessions, and customized automation solutions.

Operator for Tactile Robotics (IHK)
© RobokindThe Robokind course “Operator for Tactile Robotics” provides employees with practical training for the safe and efficient use of tactile robotics in industrial work environments. Participants learn how to set up, operate, and adapt force- and touch-sensitive robotic systems to real-world process requirements—even without in-depth prior programming knowledge. The focus is on hands-on exercises, collaborative robotics (cobots), automation tasks, and the confident handling of safety-related aspects. The goal is to enable companies to independently operate flexible, human-centered robotics applications and to train employees to become competent operators. Robotic systems: Franka Robotics and Dobot (CR5); Universal Robots are also available upon request.
- Duration: 50 hours (online theory and 3 days of hands-on robot programming)
- Dates: Several times a year at Robokind; individual scheduling requests are possible
- Location: Nordstadt, Hanover; group sessions at the company’s premises are also possible
- Cost: 999 euros per person, including IHK certificate

As part of our company visits, students get to know companies, job profiles, and career paths firsthand on-site. Through company tours and conversations with trainees, skilled workers, and managers, the young people gain authentic insights into the working world. At the same time, you’ll have the opportunity to establish early connections with potential future employees and showcase your company as an attractive employer.

Basic Training – Workshops on Modern Robotics

In this workshop, you’ll receive an introduction to operating and programming modern robotic systems, particularly collaborative robots (cobots) and mobile robotics. The workshop explains how to use these systems safely, how to create simple programs, and how their tasks can be flexibly adapted to different work processes. Another focus is on overcoming initial reservations: Beginners are shown how to gain experience step by step, take safety aspects into account, and view interaction with robots as supportive rather than threatening.

Student and Collaboration Projects at roboterfabrik

Would you like to network with students in the field of robotics early on, engage in dialogue, and support career-oriented projects? Then take advantage of the opportunities offered by roboterfabrik: Host a student robotics hackathon with a challenge from your company, or present yourself, your company, and potential application areas and career fields as part of our training programs for high school and college students.
