The current KIRIA project —AI and Robotics in the Workplace— has been running since February 2025 under the auspices of the Robokind Foundation.

The project’s goal is to provide SMEs and their employees with knowledge on the application of artificial intelligence, as well as to identify and implement concrete use cases (with a focus on computer vision) within their own companies.

Through a combination of in-company testing and curriculum development, targeted pilot projects will be carried out to impart the necessary skills to employees and incorporate them into new (short) training programs. This builds on the successful predecessor project TROIA by the Robokind Foundation, in which trainees work in tandem with experienced employees to develop robotics projects within companies. Supplementary learning modules will be designed and tested that can be easily transferred to other companies.

Project Goals

  • Development of a certifiable training format comprising at least eight learning modules consisting of workshops and online modules (including short training sessions and instructional videos)
  • Testing, documentation, and publication of at least eight application scenarios for AI and robotics in eight sample companies
  • Training of at least 16 AI ambassadors
  • Implementation of the learning modules with at least one vocational school class and a total of 100 participants

The project will run for two years and end in January 2027.

Project duration

Start: February 1, 2025
