Robot Factory 2026–2028
© Robot FactoryTo meet the regional and national demand for qualified professionals in the field of robotics, Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) has developed the "roboterfabrik" concept in cooperation with the Roberta RegioZentrum of the Hannover Region and the Hannover Region Employment Promotion Agency.
Seamless educational concept from school through to university
The goal of the roboterfabrik is to develop a continuous educational concept that bridges the gap from school to robotics studies at LUH. Through cooperation with industry partners, the initiative also aims to facilitate strategic links between schools, universities, and industry.
The success of the roboterfabrik project is set to continue in the future. In addition to sustaining ongoing activities, the focus for the years 2026 to 2028 will be on the following aspects:
- Career guidance for students, apprentices, and college students, incorporating local companies and startups into the training programs
- Technical and content-related expansion of the training offerings in the areas of robot design/hardware, humanoid robotics, and the interaction of AI and robotics
- Ongoing expansion of collaborations with companies, startups, BBSn, and the network schools of the Roberta RegioZentrum
- Increasing the proportion of women in the programs and degree courses (promotion of women)
