Roberta RegioZentrum Hannover
© Roberta Regional Center HannoverThe Roberta RegioZentrum Hannover (RRZ), certified by the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems (IAIS), has been working for years to inspire a lasting enthusiasm for technology—and particularly for robotics—among young people, especially girls. It also supports schools and teachers in integrating robotics into their classrooms.
The program is diverse, ranging from introductory courses, project days, and project weeks, to classroom units and participation in competitions, all the way to certified teacher training.
Since its founding in 2013, the RRZ’s offerings have grown steadily, and through the collaboration with the roboterfabrik at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) launched in 2018, a comprehensive robotics education concept has emerged, spanning from school through to university-level instruction.
By consolidating and expanding current offerings toward career orientation and strengthening cooperation with regional companies, the Roberta concept is to be further developed, thereby continuing the targeted promotion of young talent in the STEM field in the Hanover region.
The project is sponsored by robospace gGmbH.
